Captain marvel crash lands in theaters

By Samantha munilla

Disney’s Captain Marvel went higher, further, and faster than any female-fronted film before it!
Captain Marvel hit theaters March 8 and topped the box office opening day with a raging $153 Million and $445 million worldwide. Captain Marvel has set out a new and more diverse path for upcoming superheros.
The film captures the life of Carol Danvers, played by Brie Larson, and her lost memories of her old life on earth, remembering only briefly when she crashed her go-cart, didn’t make a home run, and missed grabbing the rope in front of her fellow soldiers during combat training. The lost memories only contribute to her fallout of failing to control her emotional responses, when up against Yon-Rugg (Jude Law).
With the help of a fellow S.H.I.E.L.D agent, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) Danvers is able to come face to face with reality and confront her enemies with no hesitation. From Danver’s failures in her earth life and being told that she can’t do certain task because she’s a girl, lead her to uncover that power of self control. This film is not only about the beginning of Captain Marvel’s life story, but the realization that holding back will always block your true potential.
Larson has adopted the personnel of Captain Marvel quite well. With the intense training she was faced with along with her ideas of making Captain Marvel seem like a flawed character. With intense scenes that involved plenty of stunts, Larson adapted to the role real quick.
