College night is a huge success!

El Rancho College Night was once again a great success. On September 17th 2018, El Rancho hosted their annual College Night, which brought together 50+ colleges (UC’s, Cal States, Public, Private, etc.) from near and far.
Students along with representatives came together in the New Gym and discussed the upcoming application season along with deadline dates.
A few colleges that attended were the University of Southern California, University of Los Angeles, Arizona State University, Whittier College, Biola University, and Cal State Long Beach.
If you’re looking for a private religious school you might be open to the idea of going into Biola University. “We are an all Christian community and [we want to] help build a bond with God and our students,” says Biola Admissions representative.
If you’re looking to go out of state, the University of Arizona might be the one for you. “The marching band of Arizona is the pride and joy of our school,” says Arizona State admissions representative.
Looking for a way to start off your college journey? Cerritos College might be the one for you. “We are student based and we focus on each student individually. We offer many scholarships and opportunities,” says Cerritos College representative.
Dons were able to take this night as an academic push towards their future. “It was very eye opening and informative,” says senior Daniella Llamas. “It’s beneficial because I know some people don’t know the criteria and standards to attend specific colleges.”
“I thought it was very informative. People that don’t know where they want to go can see many of their options. Also, getting to know the admissions officers that may read your application helps them see students as themselves, not just an application,” says senior Samantha Anguiano.
This annual event will remain a great academic help to all students and parents.
