SENIORS SADDENED BY THE CANCELLATION OF END OF THE YEAR ACTIVITIES

Due to the Coronavirus, the class of 2020, is unable to experience the heartwarming times spent together at prom, Grad Nite, and most importantly the graduation ceremony. The sudden end to the school year was unexpected.
The thought of not having the chance to say goodbye to our friends and teachers makes hearts heavy. Most of the senior class was looking forward to the end of the year because it’s when all of our hard work pays off. We get to take part in activities that are especially for us. It brings us together before we celebrate graduation and part ways.
The class of 2020 is not trying to be selfish when we speak about how our school events are being canceled. We understand that there are people who are risking their lives every day to do their job. We are aware of the deaths and the chaos in the world. Knowing all of this doesn’t change our feelings of being sad because our feelings are still valid. It’s hard for some of us to cope with the changes and we are all trying our best.
Although it’s unfortunate for our senior year to end this way, we must take the precautions necessary to keep everyone safe. On the bright side, seniors can get a graduation ceremony at a later date.
