The seventh Democratic debate will be taking place on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. There will be six Democratic candidates debating tonight including Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar, and Tom Steyer.
There will be many candidates missing from the debate including Andrew Yang and other candidates such as Cory Booker, who dropped out of the presidential race. The absence of these Democratic candidates means there will be no candidates of color at the debate, making it the least diverse debate.
The rules of the debate are that each candidate will have 75 seconds to answer questions and 45 seconds to present their rebuttals. They will also be allowed 15 seconds to present clarifications. In the end, they will be able to make closing statements.
If you are interested in watching the Democratic debate, it will be live on CNN and CNN.com. The debate will air at 6 p.m. PST.
