My Prediction for ‘Paul vs Mayweather’

February 20, 2021, Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather will box in a “Special Exhibition” match. Logan Paul will enter the ring with a professional record of 0-1 and Floyd Mayweather will enter the ring with a professional record of 50-0. The fight will be a “PPV” on Fanmio.
To make a long story short- Logan Paul has no shot of winning this fight. While he has the size, weight, and reach advantage, he lacks the skill and experience to compete with Floyd Mayweather. Objectively speaking, Logan Paul is nowhere near the skill level of Floyd Mayweather.
With this in mind, Floyd Mayweather will also not be winning the fight. He has the skill and experience but he lacks size and power. He can out-box Logan with ease but he lacks the sheer strength to knock the 6’ 2” YouTube star down. Mayweather is at a considerable size disadvantage therefore he won’t be able to put anyone asleep.
Prediction: How many rounds these two boxers will fight won’t matter. The fight will end in a draw for two reasons.
The first reason is that Paul will have a tough time being able to strike Mayweather. Floyd Mayweather built his legendary career off of his defense and shoulder roll. He is one of the greatest defensive boxers of all time and fights very slippery. Logan would need to gain a significant amount of speed to land punches which is not likely. Contrary to Paul, Mayweather will be able to land punches; however, they won’t have much effect. Logan Paul is approximately 200 pounds and Floyd Mayweather is only about 150 pounds. Not to mention, Logan has a longer reach than Floyd, naturally. Paul is 6’ 2” and Mayweather is 5’ 9”.
The second reason is money and reputation. There is lots of money to be made when celebrities box other celebrities. If Floyd were to somehow lose this fight, many would question if he could even be considered one of the “Goats”. An undefeated professional boxer losing to a YouTube star does not sound good in the “Goat Debate”. His reputation would be tarnished. Logan would also see his boxing career vanish right in front of his eyes. Already being 0-1 and losing against a fellow YouTuber puts him in a negative light, but losing once again and having 0-2 on his record would make viewers lose interest in his fights. Especially, when his brother Jake Paul(who is a much better boxer in my opinion) is gaining popularity after brutally knocking out NBA star Nate Robinson. Logan has too much to lose if he loses this fight.
If Logan manages to end the fight in a draw with one of the greatest boxers of all time, many would-be shocked and surprised and look forward to his fights. A tie would show that Logan Paul has a significant presence in the boxing industry, and it would prove Floyd Mayweather can still box.
A tie would also not be hard to accomplish, with judges in some instances scoring very poorly.
For these reasons, I believe that Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather’s fight on February 20 will be a draw. Maybe this doesn’t happen and maybe it does. Who knows? The only sure thing to know is that the fight will be exciting for those who buy it.
