On November 5th, Canadian Rapper Nav and Record Producer Wheezy dropped a mixtape which includes a variety of tracks.
Nav and Wheezy decided to collaborate and they ended up releasing Emergency Tsunami. Wheezy is a well known producer who has worked with several artists such as Travis Scott, Gunna, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug and many more artists in the rap community. Wheezy has produced albums such as Wunna and Eternal Atake which were both albums that received a lot of positive reviews and feedback so hopefully Emergency Tsunami receives the same support. Nav has dropped 2 albums this year which were Good Intentions and Brown Boy 2, the deluxe version of Good Intentions. These albums did not disappoint, especially the deluxe album, so we can expect Emergency Tsunami to be a great success.
Emergency Tsunami includes 14 songs amounting to 33 minutes of listening time. There are several features such as Gunna, Young Thug, Lil Baby, Lil Keed, SahBabii, and some of Travis Scott’s adlibs. Some of the tracks included are ‘Friends and family’, ‘Young Wheezy'(with Gunna), and ‘Repercussions’(with Young Thug). There are still 11 tracks left so I suggest that you go check out the album on Spotify, Apple Music, or Youtube. At the moment none of the tracks have made it to the top 100 on Apple music, but ‘Don’t Need Friends (feat. Lil Baby)’ is on ‘hot tracks’ on Apple Music.
I have recently been checking social media to see if fans enjoyed this album, but I haven’t seen too many opinions on it yet. It has only been four hours since the album released so in the next couple days there should be a significant amount of reviews on the album.
Personally I think the album is pretty good. I have only listened to the album like four or five times so I haven’t listened to it enough to give it a rating. One of my favorite tracks is ‘Friends and Family’ for the simple fact that the transition from ‘Breaking News Intro’ to ‘Friends and Family’ is so smooth. There are also other tracks which I thoroughly enjoyed such as ‘Turn and Twist’, ‘Modest’, ‘Trains’, ‘Don’t Need Friends’, ‘Repercussions’, and ‘Young Wheezy.’
This might be a reach but as we saw with Nav’s last album Good Intentions he released a deluxe version of it, so this makes me think that he will release a deluxe version of Emergency Tsunami that will include more features and a variety of new tracks. There has not been any clues as to whether there will be a deluxe album, but this is just a thought that I currently have. Regardless if Nav drops a deluxe album I still suggest that you check out Emergency Tsunami for yourself.
