Venom: friend or foe

By Samantha munilla

Venom has latched onto the audiences, but has stirred a mix of emotions amongst critics. Opening with a first solo movie, Venom has topped the charts with a total of $35 million dollars in the box office.
The world has enough superheroes, however their strength are no match for this powerful symbiote. Venom is a fictional character who has appeared multiple times throughout the Spider-Man comics and numerous mini-series,’ making this movie long overdue.
Tom Hardy's portrayal of Venom bears all the hallmark of Ruben Fleischer’s original version during the dark and edgy period of comic books.
Arriving in theaters with a PG-13 rating, Venom is somewhat of a superhero after all. Although the constant battle of hero vs. villain kept the audience

on their toes, movie goers were pleased to catch more of a thrill in Hardy’s solo movie.
The movie starts off with a riot amongst symbiotes and humans. The movie continues with its original character, Eddie Brock, and his attachment to Venom.

Together this duo faced the hardships between the constant battle of good versus evil and  at the end discovered what the right path was all along.
