During the 2020 election, voters across the United States wait in several hour long lines to cast ballots.
Since the start of early voting, the pandemic has changed how Americans will be voting this year. People have faced extreme barriers and there has been a significant effect on certain communities. With fewer polling places, voters across the United States are expressing their frustration of “voter suppression”.
Although some may be more persuaded to receive mailed ballots rather than waiting in these lines, these circumstances are not stopping people from getting their votes in.
Other issues that caused delays included incorrect ballots that were mailed and technical issues with voting machines.
